What can be treated with a chemical peel?
A chemical peel can be used to address a variety of skin conditions including:
- Acne
- Rosacea
- Acne scarring
- Sun-damaged skin
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Redness
- Uneven Skin tone
- Dry skin
- Pigmentation
Sam will tailor the type of peel used to each individual patient depending on the current issue and desired outcome.
How many treatments will I need?
This really depends on the current condition of the skin. Some patients who require a peel for dull skin tone may find that a ‘one off’ peel is satisfactory however, a course of peels may be required if we are targeting a certain skin condition.
Do chemical peels hurt?
Modern peels are not painful but some patients do experience a tingling sensation. Sam will constantly check with you to ensure your treatment remains comfortable.
How long will a peel take?
Your appointment will last between 30-60 minutes.
Is there any reason I could not have a chemical peel?
Anyone who is currently on or has taken prescribed acne medication such as Roacutane in the last 6 months.
A two week gap must be left between waxing or any injectable treatment.
